Cooper Webb has won the 2025 Supercross Championship after finishing fourth at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City Utah. Webb started the main event out front but quickly dropped to fourth and stayed there to preserve his points lead and stay out of any trouble. Chase Sexton took over the lead to dominate the rest of the race.
“[This third championship] means everything. You don’t know how many nights I’ve woken up just wanting to get this again. And I never thought I’d be here again, so never give up on yourself. Never cut yourself short. I’m not maybe the best, but man, when you put your mind to something [then] you get it done. I’ve got to give it up to the Good Lord, my wife, my family. Man, they push me to be the best every day. And Yamaha for giving me another opportunity; I knew I wasn’t done after those two [championships]. It feels freakin’ awesome, man. I just couldn’t do it without everyone involved, the whole Star team… I wasn’t supposed to line up this January [due to injury] and I did and here we are. It means the world. This may never happen again so I’m going to enjoy the [heck] out of it. Thank you to all these fans, great team, teammates, everyone. It’s just a relief. Never give up on yourself, kids!” said Webb.
Over in the Dave Coombs Sr East-West Shootout, Haiden Deegan grabbed the holeshot and never looked back. Deegan locked up the West Regional Championship last week. Tom Vialle was crowned the East Regional Champion. Vialle finished the shootout in third after RJ Hampshire and Seth Hammaker made contact with each other in a fierce battle sending both riders to the ground. Julien Beaumer finished second.
