Hunter Lawrence Takes Command of Supercross Title Fight with Nashville Victory

There are four remaining races in the 2026 Supercross season and Hunter Lawrence has regained the points lead with a Nashville victory. With the pressure mounting in one of the closest three-rider battles in series history, the Honda HRC Progressive rider rose to the occasion, turning a patient early ride into a decisive late-race charge. After stalking early leader Ken Roczen, Lawrence capitalized on a mistake from the Suzuki rider with just over eight minutes remaining and never looked back. Once out front, Lawrence sprinted away from the field and built a commanding advantage, ultimately crossing the finish line 7.1 seconds clear of Cooper Webb.

The night proved costly for Eli Tomac, who entered Nashville tied for the points lead. A difficult start left the Yamaha rider buried in the pack, and a late crash dropped him to 12th, dealing a significant blow to his title hopes. As a result, Lawrence now holds a 10-point lead over Roczen, with Tomac slipping to third, 15 points back.

In the Eastern Divisional 250SMX Class, Cole Davies continued his breakout season with a commanding performance, capturing his fourth win of the year in dominant fashion. After working his way forward from outside the early lead group, Davies surged to the front less than five minutes into the race and quickly established control. The Yamaha rider steadily built a gap and never faced a serious challenge, ultimately winning by a staggering 17.2 seconds. Chaos unfolded behind him as title rival Seth Hammaker crashed while advancing through the field and later tangled with Daxton Bennick in a late-race battle for second. The incident allowed Nate Thrasher to slip into the runner-up spot for his first podium of the season. Hammaker initially crossed the line in third but was penalized two positions for cutting the track earlier in the race, promoting Devin Simonson to a career-first podium in third.
