Jett Lawrence delivered a flawless performance at Saturday’s Hangtown Motocross Classic in Rancho Cordova, California, sweeping both 450 Class motos to earn the overall victory in Round 2 of the 2026 Pro Motocross Championship.

The Team Honda HRC rider controlled the action from the drop of the gate, leading every lap of both motos on his way to a perfect 1-1 score. The victory marked Lawrence’s second consecutive overall win to open the outdoor season and further strengthened his position atop the championship standings. Jett’s brother, Hunter Lawrence completed a strong day for Honda with runner-up finishes in both motos to secure second overall, while Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Haiden Deegan continued his impressive transition to the premier class by earning third overall with consistent rides throughout the day.

In the 250 Class, Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Levi Kitchen emerged victorious after posting a pair of second-place moto finishes. Kitchen capitalized on mistakes and misfortune among several title contenders to claim his first overall victory of the 2026 season. Championship leader Seth Hammaker battled through adversity to finish second overall, while Honda HRC’s Jo Shimoda rounded out the podium in third. The Hangtown event featured intense racing throughout the 250 field, with several lead changes and dramatic moments impacting the overall results.
With two rounds complete, both championship battles remain highly competitive as the Pro Motocross Championship heads to Thunder Valley Motocross Park in Colorado for Round 3 next weekend.
