Dakar Rally 12: Price Leads Bikes, Loeb Wins Five in a Row

The Dakar Rally continued to run through the dunes of the Empty Quarter in Saudi Arabia. There were also some dry lakebeds thrown in allowing the competitors to gain speed.

The bike class saw another new winner. Nacho Cornejo achieved the day’s victory for the Monster Energy Honda Team. Daniel Sanders finished second with Toby Price third. Price moves above Skyler Howes in the overall points rankings with just two stages to go in the Rally.

Mitch Guthrie Jr pulled off a win in the T3 class. Austin Jones still has the overall lead.

In the car class, Sebastien Loeb pulled off yet another win. Loeb now has five consecutive wins in the Dakar. He is still chasing down overall lead Nassar Al-Attiyah who finished third.
